Building the Future of Men’s Health:

The Men’s Health Initiative Fund is a permanent resource dedicated to advancing prostate and testicular cancer diagnostics, cardiovascular disease prevention, mental health supports, and any future male-specific innovations identified by clinical teams. This fund empowers physicians with timely access to life-saving tools, fuels advancements in diagnostics and prevention, and enables rapid response to emerging needs, ultimately improving health outcomes for generations of men in our community. It is a proactive, responsive program designed to make sure men receive the care they need, when they need it.

At Ridge Meadows Hospital, we are launching the first Men’s Health Initiative to address gaps in health care, beginning with prostate cancer. With 1 in 6 men diagnosed in their lifetime, and with an emphasis on early intervention, we are committed to improving care and outcomes for men in our community.

Men are statistically less likely to seek preventative care, and when they do, long wait times—such as four months for urgent MRIs, several months for biopsies, and up to 18 months for non-urgent diagnostics, can turn a treatable condition like prostate cancer into a life-threatening one.
