About Us › History
Maple Ridge Hospital Foundation was incorporated as a registered society in the province of British Columbia in 1984. It received its charitable receipt-granting status from the federal government in April 1985.
In 1989, it became clear that the board could no longer function without staff support, and so the first staff member was hired – Director of Development.
Over the next 26 years, the name changed to Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation, Annual Campaigns were implemented, as well as Major Gift Campaigns for the Phase II Expansion, CT Upgrade, and the “Your Health, Your Hospital” Capital Campaign.
