On September 4th, the Ridge Meadows community came together for a delightful and meaningful occasion—Pizza in the Park. This event welcomed over 400 hospital staff and volunteers, who gathered to enjoy a sunny lunch and connect with one another in a relaxed setting. The event aimed to show appreciation for the hard work and dedication of those who serve at our local hospital.
The atmosphere was filled with laughter and camaraderie as participants took a moment away from their demanding schedules. The support of the community was palpable, demonstrating the collective gratitude for the vital role hospital staff play in ensuring the well-being of our residents.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for this special day. A special shoutout goes to our dedicated volunteers, whose hard work and enthusiasm helped make the event a success. We are especially grateful for the support from our volunteers from RBC, who went above and beyond to enhance the day’s festivities.
The event also would not have been possible without our sponsors. A huge thank you to Maple Ridge Eye Care for their generous support (photo presentation pictured below). We would also like to recognize Chartwell: Willow, Pitt Meadows Plumbing, and the Ridge Meadows Hospital Physician Engagement Society, whose contributions helped create an enjoyable experience for all.
Additionally, we appreciate the in-kind donations from InnoFoods, Domino’s Pizza, and Chewters’ Chocolates. Their generosity added delicious treats and refreshments that made the day even more enjoyable.
Pizza in the Park was not just an opportunity to share a meal; it was a celebration of our hospital community. Thank you once again to everyone who participated and contributed, making this event a wonderful tribute to the dedication and resilience of our healthcare heroes. We look forward to more community events that bring us together in support of those who care for us all.
