Thanks to the Elks’ incredible commitment to our cause, we were able to allocate $88,600 toward essential medical equipment purchases identified in our priority list. This strategic investment has significantly strengthened our medical capabilities and improved the quality of care we provide. Here’s how the funds have made a tangible difference in our community:

Advancements in Medical Equipment

1. $30,000 – Ventilator for Respiratory Therapy
   This state-of-the-art ventilator is a critical tool in patient care, providing essential respiratory support and precise monitoring. With advanced features that allow for progressive weaning, patients can transition more smoothly to independent breathing, enhancing their recovery process and overall outcomes.

2. $13,300 – Portable Cardiac Monitor for Cardiac Clinic
   As we have seen a significant increase in urgent endoscopy procedures, this cardiac monitor addresses a pressing safety gap. It enhances care and monitoring during these procedures, ensuring we can respond swiftly to critical situations for our most vulnerable patients.

3. $14,000 – Clinical Microscope for the Laboratory
   The new clinical microscope facilitates accurate diagnoses, enabling healthcare professionals to swiftly identify and address medical conditions. This investment directly leads to better patient outcomes and more efficient treatment plans.

4. $31,300 – Fetal Monitor for Maternity
   Continuous monitoring of an infant’s status during labor is crucial for ensuring the safety of both mother and baby. This fetal monitor allows for real-time alerts during transport to the operating room, enhancing our ability to respond to any emergencies.

2. $2,800 for Blood Pressure Monitors for our Cardiology and Heart Failure Clinic.
3. $4,400 for Sleep Chairs for Medicine Unit 2W, providing comfort for families during hospital stays.
4. $2,200 for Pediatric Comfort Items to restock our ‘fidget boxes’, offering distraction and comfort to our younger patients.
