Community Reaps Sweet Rewards from Tim Hortons’ Smile Cookie Campaign

By May 24, 2024No Comments

In an inspiring demonstration of community spirit and generosity, the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows locations of Tim Hortons have outdone themselves once again. This year’s Smile Cookie campaign has culminated in an impressive donation of almost $40,000 to our organization, reaffirming the profound impact a united community can achieve.

We are deeply honored to have been chosen as the beneficiaries of this wonderful initiative. The funds raised will make a substantial difference in our ability to deliver essential programs and services, fostering a stronger and more supportive community for all.

The presentation of the cheque was a celebratory event, and we wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to those who orchestrated and participated in it. The photo from the event features (from left to right) Dana Hammoud, Gurtek Shoker, Victoria Turner, Donnie Turner, Maridel Catacutan, Deanna Lackey, Rachael Stankowski, Sagun Kaur, Gurvinder Gill, and Yo Hammoud. Present but not pictured: Barj Dhahan. Each individual’s contribution to this effort is appreciated beyond words.

Last year, during the Holiday Smile Cookie campaign, we were fortunate to receive half the proceeds, equating to almost $11,000. Such consistent support has been instrumental in helping us pursue our mission and enhance our community outreach.

We express our deepest gratitude to the staff and patrons of Tim Hortons, whose dedication and kindness have brought about this remarkable outcome. Each smile cookie purchased has translated into real change and support for those who need it most.

As we look back on the success of these campaigns, we are filled with hope and optimism for future collaborations. Thank you, Tim Hortons, and thank you to everyone who participated in making these cookies a symbol of community and compassion.
