Maple Ridge Legion Donates $45,300

November 11, 2021: We are so grateful that despite the many challenges presented by COVID-19 over the last two years, the Maple Ridge Legion is able and choosing to support us again this year, and so very generously. The Legion Executive presented a cheque to Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation for $45,300. This donation is funding three extremely important pieces of equipment on our list this year— a Wolf Suction for the Operating Room, a Defibrillator for our Emergency Department, and two Pressure Mattresses for Baillie House.

The Pressure Mattresses prevent and promote the healing of skin injuries, leading to improved mobility and quality of life for our residents in Baillie House. The Wolf Suction is a laparoscopic instrument used for irrigation in the operating room. And, the Defibrillator is a device that delivers a dose of electric current to the heart to treat life-threatening cardiac dysrhythmias, which has been essential for delivering comprehensive care while adhering to infection control procedures for COVID-19.

Thank you to the Legion for being long-standing, extremely generous supporters of the Foundation. We are so proud to partner with our community to raise funds for essential equipment and high-priority needs for our hospital and our community.
