By September 9, 2024No Comments

It is with mixed emotions that the Board of Directors of Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation announce that Laura Butler has made the decision to retire from her position as Executive Director effective March 31, 2025.butler l headshot 2019

After 20 years with the Foundation, the last 7 as Executive Director, Laura has built a legacy of passionate advocacy for health care in our hospital and in our community and has created opportunities of impact to inspire and connect with our generous donors.

Laura’s calm and supportive ‘open door’ leadership style has been instrumental in building a cohesive and passionate team in the Foundation office; engaging with physicians, hospital staff, volunteers and our donors while keeping focus on the strategic priorities set each year by the Board of Directors.

While we are sad to see her leave the Foundation, we are immensely proud of the work she has done for the last 20 years. Not only does she focus her commitment to our Foundation, she gives tirelessly of herself to groups, organizations, events and causes, to help make a positive difference in the lives of our entire community.

We are so happy for Laura knowing she will explore this exciting new chapter in her life with the same infectious smile, passion and genuine enthusiasm she has shown in her work.

Because of her commitment to ensure the Foundation is left better than she found it, Laura has graciously agreed to assist throughout the transition to a new Executive Director.  This recruitment will begin immediately.

Please join the Board of Directors in wishing Laura a very happy and rewarding retirement. “Every life has a story, thank you for being part of ours.”

Congratulations Laura!
