Drive for the Cure Foundation completes 4 year pledge

December 12, 2022: Drive for the Cure Foundation donation marks the final instalment of a 4 year $100,000 pledge.

Rob Jeeves from the Drive for the Cure Foundation presented a cheque to Laura Butler from Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation for $25,000. The donation marks the final instalment of a 4 year $100,000 pledged commitment, celebrated in October 2021 with the naming of the Digital Mammography room at Ridge Meadows Hospital in memory of his mother, Margaret Jeeves.
Drive for the Cure Foundation has been our Partner in Health Care since 2004. Their donations have purchased many pieces of essential equipment, making a tremendous impact on Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Health Services.
This year, their gift will be designated to a Sonosite Point-Of-Care Ultrasound System for the OR.
Sonosite Point-Of-Care Ultrasound System incorporates the most advanced image clarity to give clinicians an advanced level of confidence for diagnostic and procedural applications. It uses high-frequency sound waves to produce real-time dynamic images to identify bone, blood vessels, nerves, and soft tissue structures such as muscles and tendons. Using this machine, physicians can visualize the location for injection with 90-100% accuracy, resulting in less pain for the patient.
Thank you Drive for the Cure Foundation for being generous supporters of Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation.
