At Ridge Meadows Hospital, we are incredibly fortunate to have a dedicated team of staff who go above and beyond for our patients and their families. While our Caregiving Angels program allows individuals to donate in honor of our hardworking staff, it’s important to remember that you don’t need to contribute financially to express your appreciation.

Every act of kindness—whether it’s a simple thank you or a heartfelt message—can mean the world to our caregivers. Whether you’re experiencing care in the hospital or interacting within the community, our teams are proud to serve and support you on your health journey. They strive to provide the best in healthcare, and they do it all with a commitment to partnership and compassion.

Heartfelt Stories of Gratitude
Throughout the year, we receive heartwarming stories from patients and their families. “I want to thank the Emergency and Radiology Department staff at Ridge Meadows Hospital for their incredible care. My two-year-old had an unfortunate accident, resulting in a broken leg. “I recently had a CT scan at Ridge Meadows Hospital. I was nervous about the procedure, but everyone from the greeter, to Ivy and Janice at check-in and the technicians were lovely. “Thank you to Kat in the Ultrasound Department at Ridge Meadows Hospital. She went above and beyond during my appointment. We had a few laughs, and she made me feel very comfortable. “The nurses were incredibly friendly and caring throughout my experience. I had an unplanned C-section, which was quite scary, but the labour and delivery nurses were amazing. Dianne in the operating room was so sweet and comforting. Dr. Mentz and Dr. Konkin performed the C-section, and they were both fantastic. Jenna, Janelle, Dawn, and so many others in the maternity ward upstairs were so kind and reassuring, always making sure we felt confident and supported with our baby. “Our entire family would like to thank the Maple Ridge Home Health Team. Our mother passed away in my home, surrounded by loved ones. “I was in Ridge Meadows Hospital. Rhianna (I hope that is her name) was assigned to my care, and I cannot say enough about her. She was kind, gentle and always willing to help me. Later that day, I was rushed to Royal Columbian Hospital for an emergency procedure, and Rhianna was by my side. “I just wanted to thank Paula, my day nurse at RMH in the ER Zone 1. I’ve had a lung infection and it was getting progressively worse with my breathing rapidly declining. Today was day 2 and Paula recognized my fear and my decline and really championed a more aggressive medical route for me. She advocated for me while staying calm and collected when I couldn’t do it for myself. Thank you!!” – Shannon, Dec 2024
