At the heart of Ridge Meadows Hospital (RMH) is a remarkable team of healthcare professionals who are devoted to providing exceptional care to our community. Today, we are thrilled to spotlight one of the hospital’s talented Registered Nurses, Jessica, who has made a significant impact in our Operating Room (OR) and beyond.
Jessica’s nursing journey began in 2019 at Peace Arch Hospital, where she started on the medicine unit before making the transition to RMH to be closer to home. It has been an incredible path filled with growth and specialization. Through the Specialty Nursing Education (SNE) Program, Jessica was able to deepen her expertise in both the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and the
Operating Room. “It’s nice to look back to see where I started and where I am today with a few specialties under my belt,” she shares, reflecting on her professional development.
Beyond her qualifications, what truly makes Jessica stand out is her commitment to her patients and her team. “Working in a community hospital at RMH, the people are very nice and welcoming. I feel like we all work well together and collaborate with each other for best patient outcomes,” she says. This collaborative spirit is essential in the fast-paced environment of the OR, where teamwork can make all the difference in ensuring patients have a safe and successful surgical experience.
Jessica’s positivity and dedication extend beyond her clinical skills; she fosters a supportive and enjoyable atmosphere among her colleagues. “We not only get to be a part of surgeries, but we get to work together in a fun team environment. It’s a really great place to work when you can work with a team that has become like family,” she adds.
At RMH, we are proud to have compassionate and skilled professionals like Jessica on our team. Her journey is a testament to the incredible opportunities for growth and camaraderie within our hospital community. We invite you to join us in celebrating Jessica and all the outstanding staff who work tirelessly to provide the best care to our patients.
Thank you, Jessica, for your hard work, dedication, and for making RMH a better place every day!
